100 Things

Many bloggers and people that run a personal web site have come up with a list of 100 things about themselves at one point or another. It’s meant as a way for others to learn things about a site’s author they otherwise would never know.

  1. I was born on the day after Christmas.
  2. I like keeping my house dark. I find too many lights irritating at times.
  3. I walk around my house in a pair of moccasins.
  4. My favorite pizza toppings are pepperoni and mushrooms. The more mushrooms the better.
  5. Red Lobster is my favorite restaurant.
  6. I wear size 14 shoes.
  7. I was the valedictorian of my high school class.
  8. I have a fused tooth, which is very rare.
  9. Slow driving “drives” me crazy.
  10. I love roller coasters.
  11. I don’t believe in running a credit card balance. I have several different cards, but the entire balance is paid off each month unless I get an interest free period.
  12. I hate being in debt. Damn student loans. I’ve been out of debt for months now and love it. I hope to never be in debt again in my life.After buying a house at the beginning of 2007 I’m back in debt for a long time.
  13. My family always has crab legs on Christmas Eve.
  14. Perhaps my favorite song of all time is The River by Garth Brooks.
  15. I’m a big sissy when it comes to talking to girls I don’t know.
  16. I don’t want to grow up.
  17. Money burns a hole in my pocket.
  18. My favorite color is blue.
  19. I refuse to eat instant mashed potatoes and I like real ones to have lumps in them.
  20. My sister and I used to have miniature garage sales when we were younger, selling all of our “treasures” to the neighborhood kids.
  21. I’m a snooper for Christmas presents. I’ve even carefully opened a few early and then reclosed them.
  22. I have never changed a diaper.
  23. One of the first things I look at in women is their ass. I don’t like a fat ass and I don’t like a flat ass.
  24. Steven Seagal used to be my favorite actor, but it’s Matt Damon now.
  25. I’d love to drive a race car at over 150 mph someday.
  26. Barry Sanders is my favorite athelete of all time. In today’s society it will be hard to produce such a class act that was so good at his sport.
  27. I tear up during the National Anthem sometimes when I attend big sporting events. I also have to fight a tear during the introduction to the NCAA basketball championship game. There’s something about sports and the athletes putting it all on the line that gets to me.
  28. I don’t mind some of the boy band songs, but I do listen to a very wide range of music.
  29. I hate shaving.
  30. I had mono in high school for several months and missed 17 days of school in one semester. Still kept that 4.0 though.
  31. I’ve never voted.
  32. My best 9-hole golf score is a 36 on a par 35 course for 1 over par 34 on a par 35 course for 1 under par.
  33. Poker and XBox are my used to be my favorite hobbies. Now it’s working out.
  34. I attended a Catholic school for 8 years. I don’t believe in many of the things I was taught and only go to Church with my family on Easter and Christmas.
  35. I’ve very shy (and maybe nervous) around people I don’t know.
  36. If I’m having a pop I’d much rather have a Coke than a Pepsi.
  37. My favorite ice cream is just about anything with caramel, chocolate, and nuts.
  38. I’m not allergic to anything…that I know of.
  39. I find it hard to trust people I don’t know.
  40. Saturday is my favorite day of the week.
  41. Math was always my favorite subject.
  42. I won a math competition in the 8th grade and went on to compete at the state level.
  43. I’ve never liked winter hats and have only worn them a few times by choice.
  44. I can’t stand having my hair messed up. One of my nicknames in high school was “pretty boy.”
  45. I was the MVP of my high school basketball team.
  46. I don’t play basketball much anymore.
  47. Knight Rider, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Spiderman were my favorite shows as a kid.
  48. It’s a tough call for my favorite show now. ER, CSI, NCIS, Las Vegas, and The Unit all come to mind.
  49. I love almost anything with cheese.
  50. I shaved my head with a Bic razor once.
  51. I hate promises.
  52. I love to bet on things. Slot machines are the devil and I rarely put any money into them.
  53. Monopoly is my favorite board game.
  54. I’m the wheelbarrow whenever I play Monopoly.
  55. Some people say I haven’t changed much since high school. I think I’ve changed a lot, although the core values are all still there.
  56. I try to think about things from a rational and logical point of view.
  57. I think too much.
  58. Best Buy is my favorite place to shop.
  59. My family moved three times during high school, but all still in Rogers City, Michigan.
  60. I like songs that use a piano in them. Ben Folds Five comes to mind.
  61. I don’t worry about money like I used to.
  62. I wish I had a future job right now.
  63. I can’t stand people who talk too much. Just shut up already!
  64. I’ve gone skydiving and I loved it. I’d like to go again someday.
  65. I’ve only been out of the country a few times and it was to Canada.
  66. I plan to move to California by the middle of 2006.
  67. My favorite poker hand is a full house.
  68. I’ve had six royal flushes playing online poker.
  69. I use sarcasm way too much.
  70. My favorite time of year is spring.
  71. I’m 25% Ukrainian, 25% French, and 50% Polish.
  72. I’ve been told I give great massages.
  73. I don’t read the newpaper or watch the nightly news.
  74. I rely on the Internet for news, phone numbers, and most information.
  75. I like dogs.
  76. But not cats.
  77. I played poker for 14 hours straight in a casino once.
  78. I’m extremely picky when it comes to women.
  79. I’ve broken my right middle finger twice. Had surgery the second time. They took bone from my hip to replace a cyst in the finger.
  80. I can be an impulse buyer.
  81. My favorite soup is Mom’s homemade chicken with dumplings.
  82. I refuse to use a bank drive-thru.I’ve used a bank drive-thru a few times now.
  83. My favorite beer is Coors Light.
  84. I don’t like taking shots at the bar. Hard liquor brings out crazy Nick.
  85. I’ve never been to a strip club…and I could care less. I’d rather spend my money on other things.
  86. It bothers me when the toilet paper roll doesn’t come over the top.
  87. I like the work FUCK. It can express so many emotions and feelings and after all it is just a word.
  88. I don’t believe in censorship. It seems to be a parent’s excuse for everything these days. What ever happened to parenting?
  89. I like my eggs either over-medium or scrambled with cheese.
  90. My Dad is the hardest worker I’ve ever known.
  91. Mom’s homemade pickles are the only ones I eat.
  92. I don’t like the smell of flowers.
  93. I think newborn babies look like aliens.
  94. I’d like to travel more often.
  95. Las Vegas is usually first stop on my list.
  96. I’ve always wanted to learn karate.
  97. I like a good pen. Pencils break too much.
  98. I don’t like writing. Isn’t that why we have computers?
  99. I get out of bed at least once a week to write myself a note. It’s amazing what goes through my head as I attempt to fall asleep.
  100. On average I wake up 2-3 times a night. I take Lunesta and sleep great now.

So there you have it. It’s kind of a random list, but I put down whatever came to mind.
