I made the drive home from college every weekend during my freshman year to spend time with her. If I didn’t go home, it was because she came to school to see me. As the year went on, I began to hear rumors here and there about things happening back at home and during my winter semester, she broke up with me. I didn’t know what to do with myself. I had given her everything I could and treated her like a queen.

It didn’t really stop there though. For the next several months, it was almost as if we were still dating. I still drove home from college and spent the majority of my time with her. I was simply getting toyed with, because she could….and I let her. I went through a bit of a “psycho” spell during this time and you could have even called me a “stalker” in reality. I was out of control. That summer was the first time I had ever drank in my life and she was the reason.

By the time summer rolled around, we were no longer talking and she was dating a kid I graduated with…the worst possible choice. Maybe it was to spite me. A week or two before the school year started I was out rollerblading and she stopped me on the side of the road. She said she really missed me in her life and that we needed to hang out once school started since she would be attending the same school. Of course I agreed.
