Well, once she got to college, she turned into a wild one. I was hearing stories all over the place about her, which she always denied of course. We would get together every now and have a good time. This would always get my hopes up, so then I’d bring it up in conversation. She’d get all pissed off and stop talking to me for a week or two. During this whole time she was still dating the other guy, which I didn’t know at the time, because she lied about it. It started to become one lie after another. Enough was enough and we weren’t talking for quite awhile again.

A year or two later we became pretty decent friends, but sure enough, the lies started again. I haven’t really talked to her since. I know that a lot of people always thought I was stupid for sticking with it for so long, but they were never willing to give me any of the facts or evidence. I got to see a person that most people didn’t get to see. I was in love. She really was a special person who I enjoyed/shared some great times with. For her sake, I hope she finds that person locked away inside again someday.

Over the past few years, this is one of the reasons why I haven’t got back into dating. I guess I’ve been afraid of it all happening to me again. I learned some very valuable lessons from that relationship that will help me out in the future.
