Update On Changes

Back on the 1st of the year, I set some goals for 2004. I just wanted to bring it back up and give some updates on how things are going…

  • Get a new job in the area of programming.
-I had the job at SVSU all lined up, but then got screwed. This is still in the plans for my near future.
  • Cut down on my sarcasm.
-I’ve realized that I am who I am and all of my sarcasm isn’t a bad thing, so everyone is just going to have to live with it!
  • Try to relate to others more…walk in their shoes.
-I think I’ve done a decent job on this at times, but it’s something I still need to work on.
  • Open up. Everyone knows that I’m shy. It’s just how I’ve always been, even thought I don’t like it. I want to try to get away from that.
-This ain’t easy, but I’m still trying!
  • Get into shape (physically) and stay fit.
-With the recent purchase of a bike, I’ve been riding 4 days a week and feeling great! It’s the best purchase I’ve made all year. Maybe not the coolest purchase (TV takes the cake!), but definitely a great investment.
  • Stop drinking pop. I had done it for a few months earlier in the year, so I know that it can be done.
-I had compeletely quit for a few months. Now I have one or two a week at the most. It’s amazing how much better I feel and how much money I save.

I think I’ve done a pretty good job with everything so far. I’m living by myself for the first time in my life and loving it. It’s been a great summer so far and I don’t expect anything less from the 2nd half.
