Poker Magazines

Published on Thursday, September 30th, 2004 at 11:59am.

I picked up Dave’s copy of All In magazine and started looking through it. After reading the first 18 pages I had yet to read any poker advice or stategies. I proceded to put the magazine aside and won’t even bother to read the rest. I’ll be sticking to Card Player. (...)

Put The Party In Poker

Published on Wednesday, September 29th, 2004 at 9:20pm.

I sat down at a Hold’em table on Party Poker for the first time today. First thing I noticed was that their lowest limit table is $.50/$1 with .25/.50 blinds. I was a bit suprised they didn’t have any micro limit tables. But what the hell, I deposited the money and have bonus money waiting to be earned, might as well try it out. (...)

Through The Portal

Published on Tuesday, September 28th, 2004 at 10:26pm.

I’ve rearranged a few things on the site. The tabbed sidebar has been killed. More than one person has mentioned to me they didn’t like it and to be honest I haven’t been too fond of it for quite some time either. To keep the sidebar from getting too long, the recent comments, popular posts, and stats have been moved to the portal page. (...)

WordPress Plugin: Card Converter

Card Converter is a WordPress plugin with poker bloggers in mind, but it can be used by anyone who would like to display playing cards in posts and comments. It will take card abbreviations such as Ad (meaning Ace of diamonds) and convert it to a CSS graphical-like representation of the card. (...)

New Purchases

Published on Thursday, September 23rd, 2004 at 5:58pm.

I haven’t been to Best Buy in a few weeks so I stopped by today to pick up the newly released Star Wars Trilogy on DVD. I also couldn’t resist grabbing Star Wars Battlefront for XBOX after hearing a few friends talk about how awesome it is supposed to be. A simple trip ended up costing me $100. I figured it will be a nice reward for getting the new website done this week. (...)

Every Second Counts

As I’ve said before, he is the greatest American story of our lifetime. After reading his book you get an understanding of what makes him tick. Europe won the 35th Ryder Cup by a record setting margin of 18 1/2-9 1/2 over the United States. You can try to blame Tiger, Phil, Captain Sutton or any of the other American, but the Europeans simply played better and deserved to win the cup. (...)

Heads Up…Yours!
