Atari vs. Mac

Atari JoystickMac Mouse

VS.

Can someone please explain the difference between these two devices? Both allow you to move a cursor or object in all directions on your screen and both have one button. Besides the obvious color, shape, and size differences, I think these two devices are the same. Please convince me otherwise…

the one on the right doesn’t have a wire to connect it to the box that makes the pictures on the screen. Also, it’s shiny :) Someone told me that it’s been proven that a “mouse” is easier to be precise with than a “joystick” is, but I’m not convinced yet. If you can hack an old atari joystick to work as a USB mouse, I’ll take one. :)

The Mac mouse fits your palm and much easier to use for long period of time.
    You mac hater :)
