The Chronicles Of Riddick
Vin Diesel is back for Pitch Black’s sequal, The Chronicles of Riddick. When I first saw previews for this movie months ago, I didn’t realize it was another in the series. The action follows along pretty good, but you really need to see Pitch Black first to get all of the background of the character Riddick. (...)

Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving today!! The drive home yesterday started out horrible. It was raining, but so cold that it turned to slush on my windshield. Then it was snow. Then it was mixed. This lasted for about a half hour and then was clear for the rest of the ride. I’m glad I got out of work early because people who drove up later in the day had a horrible time. (...)

Gotta Get Away
I’ll be leaving work early today to head up north for the weekend. I’m really looking forward to getting away for a few days. I haven’t had a day off work in over two months and I need it. I really hope to get my creativity back. I had planned to launch a new design for this site on the blogiversary. (...)

Disturbing News Items
The big story in the news over the past few days has been the fight that broke out between players and fans during the NBA game between the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers. Artest got his wish with a season long suspension and will now have plenty of time to work on his rap album. I’m glad to see him go, but I feel bad for the Pacers organization, because their season is all but over. (...)

Blogiversary
1 YEAR! It was a year ago today that I made my first post here using WordPress. I want to give a special thanks to Matt who suggested the little known project of WP to me when I asked him about his web site. Also big thanks to the other main developers and contributors that make WP possible. I still remember installing version .7x. (...)

How Did That Happen?
The plan for the night was to go over to a friend’s place for some drinks and a little “get together.” I jumped in beg at 5:30 to take a nap until about 7. That’d give me enough time to make dinner, clean up and then get to their place by 9. Well, I just fucking crawled out of bed and it’s 9:30. How does that happen? (...)

Be Yellow
I’ve been wearing my Lance Armstrong LiveSTRONG band for over 4 months now. It’s to the point where I don’t even notice it. It’s become a part of me I guess. (...)
A Halo 2 Update…Already!
Bungie has already released an update to Halo 2 via XBox Live. It fixes the long delay (of a minute or two) sometimes experienced when joining a game through matchmaking. This was quite a delay considering a lot of the games only last 5 or 6 minutes. After installing the update, I was able to join games much much quicker than before. Way to go Bungie! (...)

Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge
When I first fired up Crimson Skies I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I had read several favorable reviews about the game though, so I was expecting it to be fun. After the first 5 or 10 minutes I thought, “This game sucks. I’m doing the same things over and over again.” But after playing a little bit more, I was quickly addicted. The action is fast-paced and fun. (...)

Spit Or Swallow?
After chewing a piece of gum, do you spit it out or swallow it? I swallow (my gum). Several people have commented to me in the past that they think it’s gross. I don’t understand. I don’t chew up a piece of licorice and then spit it in the garbage. Or toast, or pickles, or anything for that matter. Why do some people view gum differently from other food items we eat? (...)

Halo 2 Campaign Review
Last night I beat Halo 2’s single player campaign, so I think it’s time for a review. Note that I’m only reviewing the campaign and none of the online or multiplayer for now. That’ll come after I spend some more time on XBox Live. I’ve read in countless reviews that the campaign was too short. I read that it took 10-12 hours when played at normal difficulty. (...)

Fined For Blogging
Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, was fined by the NBA for comments he made on his blog. It just shows how dangerous and risky blogging really is. As bloggers, we risk our lives, reputations, and paychecks. </sarcasm> (...)

Wet Your Halo 2 Appetite
With over 1.5 million copies on pre-order, Halo 2 promises to be AWESOME. Have I mentioned this enough in the past few weeks? Here’s some reading material to get you through the rest of the day. The reviews from IGN and Gamespot are both several pages long but full of information and only some of it is in both articles. You’ll want to read both. (...)

Firefox 1.0
Firefox 1.0 is due to be released tomorrow. Not quite sure why they’d release it on the same day as Halo 2 though. Come to think of it, tomorrow should be a national sick day holiday! (...)

Major Leage Gaming
Did you know there is a Major Leage Gaming (MLG) circuit? Me either. Yesterday I saw a show on MTV about it. They were playing Halo and the winner, who won $8,000 for the day, said he has made over $80,000 for the year. Playing video games? Damn, where do I sign up for this gig? (...)

Visitors
I’ve had some visitors over the last few days, so there hasn’t been much time for posting. It’s always nice to take a little break from the online world though. On Thursday night, my sister came down because her last class was on Friday. Heather ’s doing her student teaching right now, will be done in a few weeks, and then graduates in December. (...)
Saw
Saw looked like a neat idea for a movie when I saw the previews, so I went to see it last night. I thought it was pretty good. It’s the type of movie with a lot of plot twists, which I always like. On the other hand though, my brother and his girl, hated the movie. The only actor’s name that sticks out is Danny Glover, so don’t look for any star performances from this one. (...)
Van Helsing
I watched this movie earlier in the week and was pleasantly suprised. I wasn’t expecting much at all from Van Helsing, so I think that helped. I’d heard mixed reviews about it, but most had said it wasn’t great. Hugh Jackson played an excellent lead role and Kate Beckinsale was hotter than ever in this movie. (...)

The Wait Is Almost Over
I just finished reading Official XBox Magazine’s review of Halo 2. Do I really have to wait 7 more days to get my hands on a copy of it? I’ve never wanted to play a game more in my life and I’m not even that big of a gamer! The original Halo sold over 4 million copies around the world. I can only imagine how many fans will buy this one. (...)
