Review: United 93
This year will be the 5th anniversary of the tragedies which occurred on September 11, 2001. No one living in the United States can say they’ve forgotten what happened on 9/11, but it’s far enough in the past where a movie could be released about the event. United 93 is the story of the only hijacked plane not to reach its target that day. (...)

Detroit Tigers Game
Yesterday I went to see the Detroit Tigers play the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park. The Tigers came away the winners by a final score of 18-1. Out of the eight innings the came up to the plate, Detroit scored in seven of those with a home run coming in each of the first four innings. (...)

New Blades
I bought a new pair of rollerblades earlier in the week. After a very short decision period I decided to go with the Rollerblade Astro 7 because I like to go all-out when I’m blading for a workout. The Astro 7 model has a larger wheel size and better ball bearings, which make the wheels spin faster and allow me get more speed. (...)

Drop the WWW
Isn’t it time everyone drop the www? Or at least stop requiring it for your site to work. All of my sites work if you type in www.domain.com or simply domain.com. In fact, if you type in the www, I have the .htaccess files set to send a redirect. Try it out…you won’t get to any of my pages and still have the www showing in the address bar. I never type out www. (...)

Interesting Site Ideas
Some of the ideas people come up with to make money from web sites is always interesting to me. Some of my favorite off the wall ideas in the past year or two were Save Toby and Million Dollar Homepage. My friend Jere recently sent me a link to Husband on Strike and I happened to surf back to the site today. The guy has already been on Geraldo Rivera and Dr. (...)

Feeding Readers With a Feed Reader
I’ve been using FeedLounge as my feed reading service since I was accepted into their alpha (or was it beta) phase months ago. It’s a great service and I was happy with it. When they came out of alpha and beta tests I was given 2 free months of service. That went by and I couldn’t access my account anymore, so I paid the $5 for another month. (...)

Another Crash
Yesterday I managed to crash again while out biking. The last time was in June of 2004, so I guess I was due for some injuries. This crash was all my fault unlike the last time when my bike slipped on a wet root out in the woods. I was cruising along down a paved bike path yesterday and when I came to the turn-around at one end I didn’t slow down much. (...)

Enjoying the Weather Among Other Things
I’ve been enjoying the weather for the past several weeks which means spending less and less time on the computer. That also means less time for blogging and less updates here as well as my other blogs. I’ve also cut back on my poker playing dramatically which takes away computer time as well. This is all a good thing. (...)

ESPN Insider
Does anyone really pay for an ESPN Insider subscription? More and more articles and features are being flagged with the little IN icon at ESPN.com and it’s pissing me off. As if I don’t pay enough to get their stations on cable, they want me to pay to read their web site now. I refuse. (...)

Weight Loss Status
I didn’t reach my goal of 180 by the end of March but I did make progress for 2 straight months. I’ve been at 187 for almost 2 weeks, but finally hit 186.5 this morning. The fat has definitely been dropping off and I’ve been feeling better, both physically and mentally. I’m enjoying eating a healthy diet for the first time in my life and it really does make a difference. (...)

Predicting the Future
I guess Chase bank can predict the future because I just received an email from them with the following… Your online credit card account has high-risk activity status. We are contacting you to remind that on April 08 2006 our Account Review Team identified some unusual activity in your account. Hell, I don’t even have a Chase account and never had. (...)
