Weight Loss Status

I didn’t reach my goal of 180 by the end of March but I did make progress for 2 straight months. I’ve been at 187 for almost 2 weeks, but finally hit 186.5 this morning. The fat has definitely been dropping off and I’ve been feeling better, both physically and mentally. I’m enjoying eating a healthy diet for the first time in my life and it really does make a difference.

With the weather changing I’ll be a lot more active and should see some more results over the next month. I know there’s more weight to lose because I can see it. The more time I put into building up some muscles the easier it’ll be to get rid of the extra fat.

I’m not quite sure what it is about this year, but I know more people working out and eating healthy than I can ever remember before.

I wish I could actually do something. I complain about needing to get fit and healthier, yet I just don’t.

Also, half the country is obsessed with the media, so it’s possible that Atkins, Weight Watchers, and Mary-Kate Olsen have gotten into our brains…

Btw, great job with the plugins. :)

Now that I just read about the MtDewVirus name thing, I have a feeling that’s why you gained so much weight. *sugar rush* But look who’s talking. :P

Actually I had always drank a lot of Mountain Dew growing up and through college and was never overweight. I cut back on the Dew a year or two ago and actually don’t even drink pop/soda at all anymore. In the past 3 months I’ve had a total of 3 and none of them were the Dew. For some reason the pounds just started to pack on over the last 2-3 years. Now it’s under control though! :-)

I find that my level of physical activity makes a significant difference to my weight. During the summer when things are hectic with my busines and I am on the go all the time I lose weight, but for the rest of the year I put it on. I guess I just need to maintain a higher level of activity all year somehow.

Congrats on knocking off a few pounds! Feels great to know you’re making steps forward doesn’t it? Have you ever tried any natural weight loss teas? My sister has had great results from drinking a die tea called WuYi. She lost 13 pounds in one month. It’s worth a shot. Keep your head up and think positive. I’m sure you can reach your goal :)
