Health Update

Published on Thursday, May 24th, 2007 at 11:09am.

Quick update on my health, after the scary trip to the emergency room… I saw my family Doctor and he referred me to a neurologist. The neurologist figured it was either a really bad migraine or some type of “bug” in the brain. With the history of brain aneurysms in the family (grandparent on each side died from it), he wanted to do some tests to rule it out for me. (...)

I’m Losing 2 Teeth And Getting a Dental Implant

Published on Thursday, May 24th, 2007 at 11:02am.

Doesn’t it sound like fun? I finally hooked up with a local dentist after visiting the one in my hometown for years. I’ve been having some problems on tooth #19 (lower back left area) and the decay is so bad it would be a miracle to save the tooth. (...)

Pistol: The Life of Pete Maravich

Published on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 at 5:43pm.

“Pistol” Pete Maravich was the greatest college basketball player to ever play the game. The “Pistol” was a guard and he averaged over 40 points a game throughout college before there was ever a 3 point line. He had a great shot and actually made a lot of shots which would have easily been worth 3 points in today’s game. (...)

Home Improvements

Published on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 at 9:38am.

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been busy with home improvements. First my Dad came down for a weekend and we did some odds and ends, but the big project was installing a ceiling fan/light in my bedroom. Previously there wasn’t a light in the room and with it being a pretty large room it was hard to see with just a corner lamp in the room. (...)

Published on Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 at 1:07pm.

Want two electrical switches to control the same light or outlet? Check out a diagram before you do anything. This would have saved my Dad and I a couple of hours on Saturday. (...)

DreamHost Improves Support

Published on Thursday, May 3rd, 2007 at 10:39pm.

The DreamHost Status blog claims a decrease in support response times and I couldn’t agree more. The helpfulness of the support has also increased. With my recent spam attack, I’ve been in touch with DreamHost Support several times a day, most of the time without even contacting them. They’ve looked up WordPress plugins, htaccess solutions, and overall been very helpful. (...)

Luol Deng, who played a year of college basketball for Duke University, was awarded the NBA sportsmanship award. Of the 5 other divisional winners for the award, Shane Battier and Elton Brand also played for Coach K and the Duke Blue Devils. Three out of six isn’t too bad! (...)

I Couldn’t Spell My Own Name

Published on Tuesday, May 1st, 2007 at 5:30pm.

Nearly two weeks ago I had a very scary experience. The day was Wednesday, April 18th… 4:45pm I got home from work and changed my clothes. Did a couple of things around the house and changed into some comfortable clothes. 5:15pm Figured I would shoot some pool before working out. (...)
