How can I unlock my iPod, iPod nano, or iPod touch if I forgot the “Screen Lock” code?

I am using “window XP” with itune installed.
My system is NOT The original primary PC.
[I've tried the below method, and my music is still intact]
Step:
1. Plug in ipod.
2. Open “My Computer”
3. Look for the removable device (which is your ipod).
4. Open the folder, search for this hidden file : _locked.
rename or remove(delete) this file.
5. Eject your ipod.
Done.
