2007 Tigers
I’ve been watching quite a few of the Detroit Tigers games this year and they’re a fun team to watch. With Kenny Rogers coming off the disabled list and starting a game on Friday, he’s already giving the Tiger pitching a much needed boost. Detroit has taken over first place in the division and has been on a roll, winning their last 7 games. (...)

Detroit Tigers - 2006 World Series
After sweeping the Oakland Athletics in the ALCS the Detroit Tigers are headed to the World Series for the first time in 22 years. The Tigers are a team with 12 losing seasons in a row coming into this year and nobody gave them a chance. Jim Leyland and his “Cardiac Cats” have proved everyone wrong. (...)

Michigan is Excited about the Detroit Tigers
The state of Michigan is excited about baseball for the first time in over a decade. Everywhere I go people are talking about the Detroit Tigers. In fact, just like night at Hooters I was wearing a Tigers hat and a random guy asked me if they were going to win game 1 of the ALCS against the Oakland Athletics. When two random people strike up a conversation you know there is excitement in the air. (...)

Tigers for Real?
Somebody pinch me. Our Detroit Tigers beat the defending Champion Chicago White Sox tonight to go up 5 1/2 games in the division. The Tigers’ records is 64-31. That’s 33 games over .500 for you math majors. Unbelievable! (...)

If It Ain’t Rough, It Ain’t Right
The Detroit Pistons once again showed their toughness last night, winning game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Miami Heat still hold a lead in the series at 3-2, but the pressure is now on them to win game 6 on their home court. Everyone knows the Miami doesn’t want to end up in a game 7 back at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Detroit doesn’t lose in those types of games at home. (...)

Detroit Tigers Game
Yesterday I went to see the Detroit Tigers play the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park. The Tigers came away the winners by a final score of 18-1. Out of the eight innings the came up to the plate, Detroit scored in seven of those with a home run coming in each of the first four innings. (...)

Goodbye Joey
The Detroit Lions signed quarterbacks Jon Kitna and Josh McCown this week, which should mean they’ll be shipping Joey Harrington elsewhere. Finally some new coaches who can see where some of the problems start with this team. (...)

A Sporting Thanksgiving
As posted previously, I attended a few professional sports events over the Thanksgiving holiday. Last Wednesday (Nov. 23) my parents left Rogers City bright and early. I’m not sure why they came down so early, but I wasn’t too happy that they interrupted my Xbox 360 time since I had just hooked it up the night before. (...)

Wings, Lions, and Pistons
My Dad, brother, and I were planning on getting some tickets for the Lions Thanksgiving game this year, so I’ve been keeping an eye on eBay. It looked like it was going to be at least $300 for 3 tickets to the game, and those aren’t even for the good seats. Yesterday I found a dream come true. There was an auction selling 3 tickets to the Detroit Red Wings vs. (...)

Red Wings Can’t Be Beat
I haven’t watched any Red Wings hockey games yet this year, but I’ve been following the scores. They’re 12-1-0 which puts them 6 points ahead of the 2nd best team in the NHL!! They have 24 points which is 33% more than 2nd best Vancouver with 18. Everyone thought it would be a down year for the Wings. Quite the opposite. (...)
