Booked Sunday
An hour ago I didn’t have any plans set in stone for the weekend. Now my Sunday is booked solid. First, my Dad invited me up to play a golf course in Harrisville called Loggers Trace at 12:30. He has some type of connection and we are golfing for free. Can’t argue with that so I said “Yes” right away. (...)

Rate The Stuff
Mo launched Rate The Stuff earlier this week. It’ll be interesting to see how the Yahoo ads do on the new site because each page will be so specific to a product. Early on, the ads are very focused, so my guess is that it’ll be a hit. Will RTS be able to survive with so many other review sites out there from the big blog networks? Time will tell. (...)

Labor Day Weekend 2005
I had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend. On Friday night I went to The Dukes of Hazzard with my buddy Mo. Saturday morning I woke up early and drove down to Sterling Heights to hang out with a couple good friends, Lindsay and Jere. We went out golfing (shot a 44), watched the Michigan game, went out for burgers and beer, and then had a few at night. (...)

Spring is Here
Monday - Went biking and watched the NCAA Championship game with friends. Tuesday - Went golfing for the first time this year. It’s the earliest I’ve ever golfed in a season. Wednesday - Went out to eat at Hooter’s with friends. Spring is definitely here and I love it. It’s my favorite season of the year. The weather is perfect for outdoor activities. (...)

Wednesday Plans
Went out to Hooter’s tonight with a few friends and had a nice surprise; the Wednesday special is all you can eat wings and fries for $8.95. We quickly decided we have weekly plans for hump day. (...)

Lack of Personal Updates
You may have noticed a lack of personal updates here at the MDV. Seriously, there really hasn’t been much exciting going on, but here’s what I’ve been up to the last couple of days. For the past two weeks I’ve been busy working on my web sites, upgrading WordPress installations, writing plugins, and helping out in general with WP. (...)

Pistons, Engines, Tires, And A Pink Shirt
I received a call from my buddy Jeff on Friday night asking if I’d be interested in a couple of Pistons tickets for Saturday night’s game. Jeff’s friend is a season ticket holder and couldn’t get rid of his seats for the game against the Bulls. (...)

The Married Life
Over the weekend I made a trip to Sterling Heights to visit a few friends. On Saturday night, I went to a Christmas party with my friend Lindsay at one of her friend’s house. I was definately one of the younger people in attendance, but quite a few were just a year or two older than I. One of the things that was a bit different was that most of Lindsay’s younger friends are married. (...)

Good Tequila
Yesterday my boys Tom and Jere came up for a visit. After grabbing some lunch, our first stop was the party store from some liquor. Jere and I decided to make some margaritas, so I picked up some 1800 Tequila. You just can’t go wrong getting the good stuff. It makes the margaritas so much better. We sat around watching football pretty much all day. (...)

Labor Day Weekend
I had an enjoyable weekend. On Friday Jere made the drive up to Rogers City with me. It took a little longer than normal because of all the traffic, but it wasn’t as bad as we expected. After relaxing a bit at Mom and Dad’s, it was out to the bars for a night with the boys. There weren’t many people out, but we had a good time. I finally made it home around 3 a.m. (...)

Day 2 In Philly
Today, in the first day of class, we covered a lot of material that I had already learned from classes I took during college, so it wa a little boring. After class, I waited for Lindsay to return from her trolley tour and then we headed off for some excitement. (...)

Naughty Fest 2004
Each year, Rogers City hosts the Nautical Festival. We look forward to it the whole summer, but when Monday morning rolls around, boy are we glad that it’s over. It’s a blast of a weekend, but it sure kicks your ass! Basically we Drink during the day. Take a little time to eat dinner. Change into clothes for the night out. Head over to whoever’s house has a keg for the night. (...)

Caption This
I was browsing the web, attempting to come up with a topic to write about, when I came across a photo asking for a caption. Those are always fun, so I’ve decided to try one out. The photo is of my friend James wearning a Michigan State sweatshirt. It’s your job to figure out what the hell he’s doing and write a caption for it. (...)

Oh, We’re At Your House
Last night was a good time. This weekend is Greek Festival here in Saginaw, which always attracts a crowd. I think it might have something to do with the beer tents. James and I met up with some friends and it was “bottoms up” the rest of the night. (...)

Time For A Design Change
It’s been over 6 months since I’ve been running my blog, which also means 6 months for the design. It’s time for a change! This design is getting old on my eyes and it has a few problems that have crept in recently. Most noticeable is the problem with the Google ads. They like to flash at the top of the page when the site is loading or when using the tabbed sidebar. (...)

Rain, Rain, Go Away
I always thought it was “April showers bring May flowers.” It has rained almost every single day in May so far. It helps out the golf season in the long run, but prevents it from really kicking off. Thursday was my first time out and I shot a 49, which wasn’t too bad for not having swung a club yet this year. Then I went out Friday with Jere and Steph and shot a 51. (...)

A Night Of Poker
Played poker tonight with the guys over in Bay City. We played Hold’em, Omaha, Crazy Pineapple, and a few other random games. I ended up losing $10 or $15, but I had fun and that is what counts. Right? I went out by winning the last game we played, so that made it all the better. I just couldn’t get into any type of rhythm with the cards, so that part of it kinda sucked. (...)

Poker Champ
Played in a poker tournament tonight with some friends and a few people I had never met before. Thirteen people ended up playing. The entry was $20 per person and the top four places paid out. We played at two tables and I drew a spot at the table with 7 people. I started out the night with some pretty good cards and won a few pots the first time we went around the table. (...)

The Game
Last night was a great time! The beer started flowing at about 1:30p.m. and didn’t stop until sometimes around 11…I think. We got to Joe Louis Arena at about 2:15 and headed downstairs to the Olympia Club. Did you know that there is a private club underneath the ice? I didn’t either, but we had passes to get in. It was a sweet little bar and restaurant. (...)
The Best Wake Up Call Ever
I hate when people call at the ass-crack of dawn and wake me up on a weekend. But every once in awhile it’s for a good reason. Today is one of those days. My phone rang once as I lay in bed thinking, “I’m gonna kill whoever that is” or “They better be calling for something good.” They left a voicemail and then my phone rang again. (...)

A Good Day
Just a few updates… My interview for the programming position at SVSU has been scheduled for next Wednesday afternoon. It can’t come soon enough. I started on my income taxes today and it looks as if I’ll be getting another nice return this year. The money will be going straight towards extra payments on my student loans. Casey, Hater, and I met for dinner tonight. (...)
Green Hut
Well, it’s like 3 a.m. and I’m not quite sure what to say. My sister and I came over to Bay City tonight and hung out with my good friends, Hater, Case, Kate, and Jeff. We had a good time. After playing some drinking games here at their house, we walked to a bar called the Green Hut. At least I think that was the name of it. (...)
Another Winter Semester
Monday marks the beginning of the winter semester at SVSU. The week at work went by suprisingly fast since I was dreading working again after the long vacation. Students were registering for classes at the last minute, as usual. New faculty wanted access to their accounts at the last minute, as usual. It still amazes me that the majority of society loves to procrastinate. (...)

2003 Comes To An End
2003 has been a different kind of year for me. If I had to come up with an event that has shaped the year, I don’t think I could. In 2002, I got a full-time job, moved off-campus, and graduated from college, which were all rather large steps in my life. 2003 has been kind of dull and boring. (...)

A Good Birthday
Overall it was a good birthday, but not that much different than any other day. I woke up around 11:00, when Heather and Isaac gave me their gifts. Isaac got me some Coors Light stuff and Heather got me a new basketball and a spare battery for my camera, which was pretty sweet. Jere came over around 12:30 and we played a few games of March Madness on XBOX. I kicked his ass! (...)

Hamoudy’s Weblog
My friend Mohamad now has a weblog running at his site. You can access his weblog with the link in the weblog links section on the right side of this page. I’ve been helping him get his site setup and getting some of the things running with his hosting company. It feels good to help someone out and see the fruits of my (and his) labor. (...)
