I Want An iPhone
The iPhone comes out this Friday, the 29th. I was at the MacWorld Expo keynote in January when Steve Jobs announced the revolutionary phone/iPod/Internet device and I was very excited to see it. I’ve thought about it quite a bit because my current Verizon contract isn’t up until February, so if I did get one, I’d have to pay nearly $200 to cancel my contract. What to do? (...)

Free DNS from OpenDNS
I’m testing out OpenDNS here at work on my main computer. I’ll try out any service to replace something on our network. In testing the past couple of minutes some web pages seem to load faster and some slower. I’ll also be setting it up at home to see how it performs. Time will tell. (via Matt) (...)

No WWW
I posted a couple of months ago about dropping the www from URLs and have been a supporter of it for much longer. All of my sites have been www free for as long as I can remember. The www.xxxx.com URLs will redirect to the one without www. If you’re using WordPress and have been afraid to try out the .htaccess method Matt released the no-www plugin last month. (...)

Drop the WWW
Isn’t it time everyone drop the www? Or at least stop requiring it for your site to work. All of my sites work if you type in www.domain.com or simply domain.com. In fact, if you type in the www, I have the .htaccess files set to send a redirect. Try it out…you won’t get to any of my pages and still have the www showing in the address bar. I never type out www. (...)

Interesting Site Ideas
Some of the ideas people come up with to make money from web sites is always interesting to me. I’ve been using FeedLounge as my feed reading service since I was accepted into their alpha (or was it beta) phase months ago. It’s a great service and I was happy with it. Performancing Metrics
Performancing came out with a free public beta of a blog tracking service earlier this week, called Performancing Metrics. I haven’t used it a very much yet, but it looks very promising.
