Quickie: 09/30/2008 10:27:01pm

Published on Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 at 10:27pm.

My 500GB RAID array was used only for my iTunes library (music, tv shows, and movies) and has been dead for a few weeks. Dreading getting all of my music back somehow, but really missing it. Tuning the TV on my desk to Music Choice doesn’t cut it. (...)

Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia Headphones

Published on Tuesday, November 8th, 2005 at 11:43am.

I bought a set of these Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia Headphones on eBay and they came yesterday. They are definitely worth the price for the quality that you receive. I think I paid less than $30 after shipping costs are included. They fit great in the ears and have two additional sizes of attachments if your ears are larger or smaller than average. (...)

Video on the iPod Will Flop

Published on Thursday, October 13th, 2005 at 10:33am.

I just don’t get Apple’s newest iPod release. Do they really think that many people are going to want to watch video on a 2.5 inch screen? The other aspects of the new iPod are great, but I don’t understand the ability to watch video. How many times can you watch the same music videos? Do you really want to watch music videos on that tiny screen? I know I don’t. (...)

I Hate Seagulls

Published on Thursday, September 15th, 2005 at 8:11am.

I’m also starting to feel the same way about Steven Seagal. I’ve been a long time fan of Seagal. It all started when I watched Under Siege with my Dad as a kid. After that I saw every Seagal movie that came out. But over the past 5 years or so (since Under Siege 2: Dark Territory), the only decent movie he’s been a part of was Exit Wounds. (...)

iPod Size Comparison

Published on Thursday, September 8th, 2005 at 10:51am.

With yesterday’s announcement about the iPod nano I thought it would be fun to compare the sizes of the different iPods. As you can see, they’ve made some great improvements for the nano. I also found a great photo on Flickr with a nano and Shuffle side by side. (...)

Published on Tuesday, September 6th, 2005 at 1:04pm.

Just last week The Killers won the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist. I’ve heard 3 of their songs on XM Radio over the last few weeks and really enjoyed the music, so I decided to buy the CD. Their most popular songs (with # from the CD) are: 2. Mr. Brightside 4. Somebody Told Me 5. (...)

Musical Baton

So here you have it… Total volume of music files on my computer: 17.9 GB, which is over 3,500 songs. Pretty remarkable seeing as how I haven’t downloaded music in a year or more. (...)

School Of Rock

Published on Sunday, April 25th, 2004 at 1:06am.

I’ve heard quite a few favorite reviews about this movie so I thought I’d see what it was all about. It was a pretty good movie, but probably not one that I would watch again. Jack Black plays a guy lost in a dream to start a rock band. When he can’t pay his rent, he is forced to lie and take a substitute teaching position. (...)

Taste In Music

Published on Saturday, December 20th, 2003 at 3:17pm.

Last night at the bar (after the work holiday party) we had a little discussion about tastes in music. I admitted there are some country music songs that I like and will listen to. Bill then argued that because of this, I like country music. I do not like country music! If a person eats tacos, does that mean they like Mexican food? I don’t think it is justification. (...)
