Dad Shot a Nice 8 Point Whitetail

Published on Tuesday, October 10th, 2006 at 11:11am.

Last night my Dad shot a nice 8 point whitetail deer with the bow and arrow. He’s an avid hunter but still gets pretty excited about a big kill. I guess he’s going to get this buck mounted to add to his trophy collection. Click through for more photos. (...)

Detroit Tigers Game

Published on Sunday, April 30th, 2006 at 6:26pm.

Yesterday I went to see the Detroit Tigers play the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park. The Tigers came away the winners by a final score of 18-1. Out of the eight innings the came up to the plate, Detroit scored in seven of those with a home run coming in each of the first four innings. (...)

Using Flickr

Published on Sunday, March 6th, 2005 at 1:24pm.

Over the past two days I’ve uploaded 572 photos to my new Flickr account. I didn’t do any compression of the files when uploading, but still only managed to use 69% of my upload capacity for this month. I’m really impressed by the service that Flickr offers. Typical Michigan Weather

Published on Sunday, February 20th, 2005 at 6:40pm.

Yesterday the sun was out and there was green grass everywhere. So maybe it was a greenish-brown, but at least you could see grass in everyone’s yard. Our snow had been gone for about a week. This morning when I woke up there was just a little bit of white powder on the ground; a little harmless snow. (...)

Site Tweaks

Published on Sunday, June 20th, 2004 at 11:16am.

I’ve made a few modifications to the site. The photos section is now powered by Pictorialis II as promised. The basics are there, but I need to modify the layout some more to make it look how I want. I really like the software though. Awesome stuff Mark! I’ve also modified the way Link It posts show up on the main page of the blog. They were taking up too much space. (...)

Photo Gallery Manangement

Photos Are Back

The Photos section of the site is back. It needs a lot of work, but at least it’s there again. I decided to only upload the “important” pictures from the old setup, but I’ll upload new ones as the days go by. It’s a nice and simple interface, which I really like. I’m using SPAM/iPAP to mange the photo albums and it works well. (...)

May Contain Peanuts

They weren’t kidnapped, I just got fed up with using Gallery to manage my photos, so I ditched it. I’ve found something that looks pretty sweet and should be a nice replacement. Markku is developing a PHP-based application for publishing photos and I like the looks of it. He is either caling it iPAP or SPAM, I’ve seen it called both in different places. (...)

My New Digital Camera

Published on Monday, December 8th, 2003 at 5:37pm.

I finally have the new digital camera in my hands. I picked it up from the leasing office when I came home for lunch. It’s a pretty sweet little camera. I’m not real big on taking pictures, so getting a small camera was my number one priority in deciding on one. I wanted a camera that was digital for obvious reasons (insert geek comment). (...)
