The Big Secret
Over the past couple of months I had mentioned a big secret I was planning to let out of the bag. Well, the announcement is nearly a month after the deal was completed, but it’s out. I sold pokerchiptricks.com. The whole deal was really stressing me out towards the end and I can now say that I hate dealing with lawyers. Head over to the poker blog for more details. (...)

Double Royal
I try not to post poker stuff here anymore, but this is worthy of a posting. While playing at Party Poker I hit the 4th and 5th royal flushes of my life less than 30 minutes apart. This is unheard of! It’s hard enough to get a royal flush, let alone two in such a short period of time. (...)

Put The Party In Poker
I sat down at a Hold’em table on Party Poker for the first time today. First thing I noticed was that their lowest limit table is $.50/$1 with .25/.50 blinds. I was a bit suprised they didn’t have any micro limit tables. But what the hell, I deposited the money and have bonus money waiting to be earned, might as well try it out. (...)

Heads Up…Yours!
I’m horrible playing heads up in Texas Hold’em and I know it has to do with the fact that I don’t like to bluff as much as most people. The past two nights we’ve (Mom, Dad, Isaac, and I) played a mini-tournament and both times I made it to the final two with a commanding chip leader. I also lost both times. (...)

In The Money
Tonight I decided to play a poker tournament on UB, so I signed up for a $5+.50. UB adds $1,500 to the prize pool to this weekly tournament, which makes for a pretty nice payout. A total of 1522 people entered the tournament, so first place paid almost $2,300!. Not bad for a $5 entry fee if you ask me. (...)

Poker At the Taj
It’s almost 5 a.m. and we just got back from Atlantic City! I played a $100 poker tournament at the Taj Mahal and I lasted just over an hour and a half. To Tip Or Not To Tip…The Dealer
Ever played poker in a casino? Do you tip the dealer after a winning hand? Do you do it every time? For some reason poker etiquette expects you to. I don’t play in a casino very often, but when I do, I’m there to have fun and to make money. As if it’s not hard enough to overcome the rake (casino’s cut of each pot), I’m also expected to overcome dealer tips. (...)

Yes, that’s me at a .25/.50 cent table (Limit Texas Hold’em) with professional poker player Phil Hellmuth on UltimateBet. It was pretty sweet! Quotes From Rounders
I’ve listed some of the best Rounders quotes. There are quite a few I left out, but I tried to pick quotes that were meaningful even if you don’t know the context in which they were spoken. If you can’t spot the sucker in your first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker. Always leave yourself outs. It’s immoral to let a sucker keep his money. (...)

One of my favorite movies of all time. I figured I should watch the greatest poker movie in history before I hit up the casinos on my trip to San Diego next week.
