Anti-Glare Film Set for iPhone
The Anti-Glare Film Set from Power Support is a must have for iPhone owners. The regular price is $14.95, but I bought mine yesterday at the MacWorld Expo for $10 out-the-door. Two “films” come in the package. They are easy to remove, can be cleaned, and reused. The film isn’t sticky or “shrink wrapped” onto the phone like a lot of the screen covers. (...)

Ocean’s 13
I really enjoyed Ocean’s Eleven when it came out and thought Ocean’s Twelve was good too. So when I saw Ocean’s 13 was next in line I knew I’d have to see it. Went last night with Tom because it was too damn hot to do anything else around the house or outside. We both enjoyed the movie and I’ll add it to my DVD collection when it comes out. (...)
Pistol: The Life of Pete Maravich
“Pistol” Pete Maravich was the greatest college basketball player to ever play the game. The “Pistol” was a guard and he averaged over 40 points a game throughout college before there was ever a 3 point line. He had a great shot and actually made a lot of shots which would have easily been worth 3 points in today’s game. (...)

Review: 300
I went to see 300 at an IMAX the week it came out. We drove from Saginaw all the way to Lansing one night after work, which put the total drive time around 3 hours. That’s a lot of driving to see a movie when I could have went 2 miles down the road from my house. Well…it was well worth it! 300 is one of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen, if not the greatest. (...)

Review: Gillette Fusion Power
On the recommendation of my friend Casey I bought the Gillette Fusion Power about a month ago. This razor is a work of art. Shaving has always been one of my least favorite things to do, but the Fusion Power is literally “changing the face of shaving.” Your first reaction might be that five blades is a bit of overkill, but it feels great on your skin. (...)

Review: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
I enjoyed the original The Fast and the Furious, but thought 2 Fast 2 Furious was a bit far-fetched, especially the end scene with the boat landing on the yacht. So going into the third movie, Tokyo Drift, I wasn’t sure what to expect, which is exactly the reason I waited until the movie hit the cheap seats and I could see it for $2.25. (...)

Review: Superman Returns
I saw Superman Returns on opening night and am finally getting around to a review. The movie was up to my expectations going in. There was a good story and a lot of action. The length of the movie was a bit long and I thought a few parts could have been cut out to make it shorter without losing any of the plot. (...)

Review: United 93
This year will be the 5th anniversary of the tragedies which occurred on September 11, 2001. No one living in the United States can say they’ve forgotten what happened on 9/11, but it’s far enough in the past where a movie could be released about the event. United 93 is the story of the only hijacked plane not to reach its target that day. (...)

Football Replay Systems
Each weekend, millions of people tune in to watch college and NFL football. The game of football is played at a fast pace with referees making crucial decisions about penalties, ball spots, turnovers, and scores. There isn’t a human being in the world who can make these split-second decisions without making a mistake now and then. In come the replay systems. (...)

Review: Crash
Movies like Crash are what keep me watching different movies all the time. This is not your typical movie where good guys win over bad guys and we have a happy ending. Crash is a modern day tale of morality. The entire movie is based on racism in the lives of people from different backgrounds and how they come into contact with one another. (...)

Review: Catch Me If You Can
I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio, but way back when I first saw previews and clips for Catch Me If You Can, I was interested to see the movie. I thought the movie was a good fit for Leonardo and I actually enjoyed his acting. The role was a good one for him. He seemed to work well with Tom Hanks, who played a good part too. (...)

Review: iPod nano
Most of my friends had iPods. I didn’t. I didn’t want to haul around the mp3 playing brick. I was holding out for something smaller. I was excited when the iPod Mini came out, but still wasn’t too impressed. Around the 1st of September I read a press release explaining that Apple would be making a big announcement on the 7th. Rate The Stuff
Mo launched Rate The Stuff earlier this week. It’ll be interesting to see how the Yahoo ads do on the new site because each page will be so specific to a product. Early on, the ads are very focused, so my guess is that it’ll be a hit. Will RTS be able to survive with so many other review sites out there from the big blog networks? Time will tell. (...)

Review: The Killers - Hot Fuss [LIMITED EDITION]
Just last week The Killers won the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist. I’ve heard 3 of their songs on XM Radio over the last few weeks and really enjoyed the music, so I decided to buy the CD. Their most popular songs (with # from the CD) are: 2. Mr. Brightside 4. Somebody Told Me 5. (...)

Review: The Dukes of Hazzard
The Dukes of Hazzard (Unrated Widescreen Edition)I remember watching the TV series all of the time as a kid. The Dukes and the General Lee were my heroes because they always saved the day. When I first heard a movie was coming out I was excited. I was even more excited when I saw the cast. (...)

Review: After the Sunset
When renting a few movies last week I was asked if I wanted to grab a $1 rental for free. I turned around and After the Sunset was the first DVD I spotted, so I took it. The free movie turned out to be better than the two new releases which cost $2.50 each. I’ve always liked Pierce Brosnan movies and this was no different. (...)

Review: The Ring Two
I really liked The Ring when it came out in theaters, but The Ring Two is horrible. The story gets all twisted and doesn’t make much sense. This is a case where the producers should have stopped after one film. For a what was supposed to be a scary movie, TR2 was a letdown. I only jumped during one scene and it didn’t even fit in with the story. (...)

Review: Sin City
Quentin Tarantino comes along as a special guest director for Sin City. The movie definitely has a Tarantino feel to it. It’s unlike any other movie you’ve ever seen. Review: Into The Sun
Over the past few years, Steven Seagal’s movies have sucked. I’ve been a fan of his movies ever since I saw Under Siege, but with his recent lack of hits he is not even in my top five list of favorite actors anymore. With that said, Into the Sun was actually a decent movie. Some of the other Seagal movies I’ve seen in the last two or three years have been downright horrible. (...)

Review: Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
I’m not the biggest fan on stupid comedy movies, but Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle was pretty good. John Cho and Kal Penn worked well together to make this film. A commercial for White Castle appears on TV and they’re off to satisfy their hunger. (...)

Review: Million Dollar Baby
One of the best movies I’ve seen in quite some time. Million Dollar Baby deserves every award it won last year. Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, and Hilary Swank put on one hell of a performance for this one. Review: Deception Point
Dan Brown wrote another great book with Deception Point. I couldn’t put the book down once I started reading it and ended up finished all 550+ pages in a few days. That’s pretty good for me. I’d have to say that this is my second favorite (to The Da Vinci Code) book by Brown. (...)

Review: First Strike (Halo)
This book is the 3rd in the series and should be an enjoyable read for any Halo fan. First Strike tells the story that leads up the action experienced while playing the video game Halo 2. Review: Fantastic Four
The Fantastic Four was a surprisingly good movie. Or maybe I just enjoyed watching Jessica Alba a little too much. It’s another Marvel movie, but this one isn’t too cheesy. The acting, action, special effects, and story are all pretty good. There are a couple of sub stories to keep it all enteresting. One part of the movie I do have to complain about is the ending. Review: Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Definitely one of the top movies of the summer. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were the perfect choices for Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They worked extremely well together in this film. (...)

After reading the back cover of this book I knew I had to read it. Bringing Down the House is the story of how M.I.T. students beat the house. Review: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
It’s been over a month since I saw Revenge of the Sith, so a review is long overdue. I might need to see the movie again to remember it! Review: Meet the Fockers
Meet the Parents was a great movie, but Meet the Fockers was disappointing. The movie had it’s moments, but it wasn’t nearly as good as the first film. The jokes just weren’t very funny. (...)

Review: Blade Trinity
I’ve been a fan of the Blade movies so I was excited when I saw they were making Blade Trinity. How could I not be excited to watch Jessica Biel for a whole movie though? Saw looked like a neat idea for a movie when I saw the previews, so I went to see it last night. I thought it was pretty good. It’s the type of movie with a lot of plot twists, which I always like. Charlize Theron did an amazing job in the movie. After watching it, I can see why she won Best Actress. She completely transformed herself into the character. She is one fine looking woman! The acting was decent at best, but any level of acting couldn’t make up for the horrible story. (...)

Cold Creek Manor
Pretty good movie. From what I remember in previews I thought this was supposed to be a freaky-scary movie. There were some parts where I gripped my seat a bit, but it doesn’t totally fit into that genre of movies. Dennis Quaid, Sharon Stone, Juliette Lewis, and Stephen Dorff all did wonderful jobs as the main characters. (...)

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
I had never thought too much of these type of games, but after playing it this past weekend and beating the co-op mode in 2 sittings with Jere, I was impressed. On Saturday night we were up until 6 a.m. before we decided we better get some sleep! It would have taken much longer to beat had I not been killing everyone, making up for Jere’s lack of kills. (...)

The Matrix Revolutions
Great movie! The final chapter (or is it?) in the Matrix series comes to an end in The Matrix Revolutions. It’s nice to see the end of the story, but it sucks knowing I can’t look forward to any more of the movies. A lot of people didn’t like how it ended…you can’t please everyone. I thought it ended just how it was intended to end and it was fine by me. (...)

Taking Lives
Looked good in the TV commercials and it was good in the theater. I had just watched the full trailer today at work and was thinking I had to see this movie. Tonight I got the chance already and took it. Angelina Jolie is my favorite actress and she was great as usual. I’ll admit I can’t complain about seeing her “two friends” either! (...)

The Rundown
I remember seeing the previews for The Rundown and thinking, “Great, another performance like for ‘The Rock’ like in The Scorpion King.” After watching the movie I was pleasantly suprised. Seann William Scott was his usual self, but I was impressed by the improvements in Rock’s acting since I last saw him. (...)

Black Horizon
You know a movie sucks when they have to throw in a joke (or attempt at one) for the last line of the movie…”and sex ain’t bad either.” Black Horizon was a waste of time and money. The acting was horrible, the special effects were even worse, and the story wasn’t much either. (...)

Pavement
I had never heard of this movie before and it didn’t take long to figure out why. It was pretty cheesy, not to mention the fact that the acting was horrible. Lauren Holly and Robert Patrick play the lead roles and boy were they terrible. Holly was especially bad and after looking at the list of movies she had been in, it’s no surprise. (...)
Gothika
Different. One word that describes this movie is different. It is kind of a ghost story that flips the roles of patient and psychologist on the main character, played by Halle Berry. Berry did a wonderful job playing the part of the beautiful psychologist turned crazy murderer. There were two ends to the spectrum and she meshed them together well. (...)
Runaway Jury
Watched this movie last night on the new TV and was pretty happy with it. It was an interesting plot line with a few twists and turns along the way. I thought Gene Hackman, John Cusack, Dustin Hoffman, and Rachel Weisz did a great job with this movie. I didn’t recognize Weisz from any other movies, but she did well in this one. She’s also a fine looking woman, which never hurts. (...)

The Da Vinci Code
I finished reading “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown last night. It is easily the best book I’ve ever read. I’m not a big reader, so that might not be saying much for me, but it has also been a hot item on best seller lists. It only took me 4 days to read the book (compared to the one day that elapses from start to finish of the story), which is an amazing feat for me. (...)

Rounders
One of my favorite movies of all time. I figured I should watch the greatest poker movie in history before I hit up the casinos on my trip to San Diego next week. Matt Damon, Edward Norton, and John Malkovich all play important parts in this film. It’s a story of a New York poker player who loses it all for a dream and works to get it back when he gets into trouble for an old friend. (...)
The Hulk
I finally got around to watching the DVD. It’s the first time I’ve seen this movie since the week it was released in the theaters. Just like any other great movie, it gets better each time you watch it. Is this movie just another comic book character brought to the bigscreen? No way! The Hulk brought the comic book feeling to motion picture. (...)
Ocean’s Eleven
I watched this movie yesterday and forgot to write a review. I’ve seen the movie once or twice in the theater and countless other times on DVD, so that alone should tell you I think it’s a great movie. What more could you ask for? Eleven guys (all with different talents) team up to rob a Las Vegas casino. It’s a great plan that runs into a few bumps in the road. (...)

The Core
I don’t remember ever hearing about this movie when it came out last year, but it was pretty damn good one to watch. It didn’t remind me of all the other typical save the planet movies that come out every year. It was a pretty neat story that kept on moving forward and kept my interest. (...)
Miracle
Great movie! I don’t know if I need to say any more than that. It’s just an awesome story and will forever be a part of history in the United States. The movie made me proud to be an American. I can’t pick a single thing from this movie that I would have changed. (...)
Fargo
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this movie, but it was pretty good. “Okay”….”Yah” For some reason it’s always entertaining to listen to what we (here in Michigan) call the UP accent. Fargo is based on a true story, but not in the usual sense of a true story brought to film. It wasn’t one of those feel good stories. (...)
From Dusk Till Dawn
Different. I’ve never seen a movie make a complete 180 so quickly. The movie is rolling along fine, actually pretty good and then all of the sudden you’re like, “What the hell just happened?!” It’s an older movie, from 1996, but was pretty good. The cast included Harvey Keitel, George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino, Juliette Lewis, Salma Hayek, and Cheech Marin. (...)

Underworld
I had mixed feelings when I saw previews for Underworld. Sometimes the vampire movies are good and sometimes they are horrible, but this one turned out to be OK. Kate Beckinsale did a good job as the lead roll, playing the vampire caught up in the middle of a war between the vampire and werewolf races. She falls in love with a werewolf, which causes quite a controversy in the vampire coven. (...)
Once Upon A Time In Mexico
I wasn’t too sure about this movie when I saw the previews, but thought I’d watch it since a friend let me borrow it. To tell you the truth, I didn’t care for it. It’s not a horrible movie, but nothing spectacular either. One viewing is plenty for me. The acting was good, but the story just wasn’t believable. (...)

Radio
When I first saw the commercials on TV for this movie, I knew it was one I wanted to see. It has high school sports, a coach known by everyone in a small town, and a good story. That usually makes for a good movie. I didn’t get the chance to see it in the theaters, so I bought the DVD as soon as it was released. Today I finally made some time to watch it. (...)
S.W.A.T.
Special Weapons and Tactics. There were plenty of each in this movie. It was great when I saw it in the theater this summer and great again watching the DVD. It would be hard to make a bad movie with a cast full of big names such as Samuel L. Jackson, Colin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez, and LL Cool J. S.W.A.T didn’t disappoint in any aspect as a movie. (...)
The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Since I had the afternoon off I figured I’d watch a movie. This movie was pretty good. The story was set back in the 1800s and is based on a comic book. It’s an action movie with a few twists and turns to keep you guessing where things are going. The movie had some pretty good action and fight sequences. Nothing absolutely stunning, but better than your average movie. (...)

Belly Of The Beast
Another Steven Seagal movie that doesn’t have much to brag about. Most of his movies over the past two or three years have been a joke. This one is no different. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a Seagal fan, but the last few films have been a waste. I’ve noticed several scenes in his recent work that have voice overs not done by Seagal himself. (...)

Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl
I watched Pirates of the Carribean last night. Great movie! I was apprehensive to go to the theaters and watch it, but I’m glad that my buddy Case bought the DVD for me as a Christmas gift. The special effects, action, and story all meshed together well and the humor that was thrown into the movie was the right amount at the right times. (...)

American Wedding
Earlier tonight I watched American Wedding, which followed behind the first two American Pie movies. It was great and I’d definitely recommend it. I bought the unrated version of the DVD, but couldn’t tell you what was added because this was the first time I had seen the movie. The bachelor party scene was pretty good…a lot of tits and ass. (...)

Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King
I just got back from seeing “The Return of the King” a bit ago. It was a great movie, but a bit too long. It was about 3 and a half hours long, which should have been shortened. For the last half hour they kept fading away in scenes and everyone kept getting up, but then another scene started. (...)
