Quickie: 02/18/2008 7:06:51pm
Made it home without any delays, but neither set of golf clubs made it. It has not been a good day! (...)

Quickie: 01/19/2008 3:36:56pm
I was never told our itinerary changed. We’re in Chicago for 2 hours longer than expected. This fucking sucks. Left SF yesterday at 9pm and will get to Saginaw after 8pm tonight. (...)

First Post of 2007
Wow, three months without a single post on the blog. That kind of sucks. I’ve had plenty of material to write about. Looking back through my calendar, here are a few highlights… January 5 — Bought a house. January 7-12 — Attended MacWorld in San Francisco, CA. Rest of January — Cleaning, removing wallpaper, painting, and moving. (...)

Out of Office
Just looking at the calendar I counted out of the next 21 weekdays I’ll only be at work for 7.5 of them. I love this time of year! Our holiday break starts at noon on December 22nd and we’re back to work on January 3rd. On the 8th of January I fly out to San Francisco for MacWorld and will return on the 14th after a nice 7 hour layover in Las Vegas. (...)

San Francisco Treat
I’ll be attending Macworld the 2nd week of January with Dave. I’ve been helping out with Mac support at work and this will be my training for the year. I’ve wanted to check out San Fran for quite some time, so I’m excited to go. Hopefully I don’t come home as a switcher, because I hate to say it, but I love Windows. I can’t wait to see what SF has to offer. (...)

Back To Normal
After a week out in Philly and a 3 day golf trip, life will be back to normal for me. I had a great time on both trips and was sad to see them end. Tomorrow it’s back to work and the daily grind. I won a few side bets on the golf trip (two long drive bets with Dad were the highlight) and placed in a couple of the events, but didn’t shoot as well as I would have liked. (...)

Surviving Philly
It feels good to be alive. Today Lindsay and I took the bus down to Penn’s Landing on the Delaware River, where we ate at a great restaurant called Rock Lobster. Since Lindsay left her ID at the hotel, we couldn’t go to any of the bars and Dave & Buster’s wouldn’t even let us in. With nothing else to do, we hopped on another bus and headed to the motel. (...)

Day 2 In Philly
Today, in the first day of class, we covered a lot of material that I had already learned from classes I took during college, so it wa a little boring. After class, I waited for Lindsay to return from her trolley tour and then we headed off for some excitement. (...)

Day 1 In Philly
For a recap of the first day in Philadelphia, I’ve decided to let my travel companion Lindsay do a guest post. It marks the first guest post on this site. Enjoy! I woke up this morning at 7:00 because my Uncle Erik’s dog, Max, was whining at my bedroom door. (...)

I’m Off…
In about an hour I’ll be taking off for Flint, flying to Chicago, and then arriving in Philadelphia sometime after 6 (their time). Lindsay and I always have fun, so it should be a blast. I have no clue what we are doing though, I left all of the planning up to Lindsay (teachers have all that damn free time in the summer). The training class should be really good too. (...)
The Weeks Ahead
Over the past few days, I’ve been quiet on the site again. I’ve been busy studying for my test, which paid off. August is going to be a busy month for me, so I just wanted to warn everyone that I won’t have as much time for quality posting. Tomorrow I’m heading up to Rogers City for the Nautical Festival. (...)

What To Do In Philly?
I’ll be going to Philadelphia from August 15th to the 20th to take an SQL training class for work. Has anyone been there before? I’ll be in class until 4:30 or 5:00 each day, but I need some things to do at night. Where are the hot spots and what are the must sees? (...)

The Sacramento Trip
Here’s a recap of my trip to Sacramento… Sunday Flew out of Detroit at about 5 PM ET, had a connecting flight in Phoenix, and landed in Sacramento around PM PT. Rented a car, checked into the hotel, and just crashed for the night. Nothing exciting. Monday First day of class (9-4:30). (...)

Have A Safe Flight
My buddy Case just said, “have a safe flight” on IM. I know we are just being polite and thoughtful when we say it, kind of like, “drive safe.” But…on an airplane do we really have any control over how safely we arrive at our destination? Just a thought… (...)

Sacramento Here I Come

The Trip Part II
I forgot to add this to the first post… So we left the casino at 4:30 a.m. on what was now Saturday. Got to the hotel shortly after 5 (it is getting light at this time in California already), packed everything up and headed off to take the car back just before 6. When we got to the airport and checked in, it was close to 7 in the morning. (...)

The Trip
Sorry for the lack of postings this past week, but I didn’t have Internet access readily available. With that said, here is how the week went… On Sunday, we (mom went with) took off for Detroit around 10 a.m. We had a connecting flight in Chicago and ended up landing in San Diego at about 6 p.m. It was nice gaining the extra 3 hours. (...)
I’m Back!
Made it back from San Diego safe and sound last night. I will find time at some point today to give a full recap of the week, but Duke is playing at 1:00, so I’ll be a little busy for awhile! (...)
San Diego By Numbers
20 - Minutes our flight arrived early to San Diego on Sunday. 78 - Temperature in San Diego when we arrived. $2.30 - Price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline out here. 15 - Age mom is driving like…I swear she just got her learner’s permit. 25 - Minimum age to drive the rental car, and the reason I am not driving everywhere. (...)

Off To Sunny San Diego
Tomorrow, I’m off to San Diego for a week. I’m taking a Visual Basic.NET class for work, which will take up most of the day, but I don’t plan on doing much sleeping during the week. I’ve never been out to the west coast so I’m going to make the most of it. (...)
